AI research lab Anthropic is further solidifying its position in the enterprise sector through a new multi-year strategic partnership with global professional services firm Accenture. Announced on Tuesday, the collaboration aims to integrate Anthropic's advanced AI capabilities into Accenture's extensive client network.
While financial terms remain undisclosed, The Wall Street Journal reported the agreement spans three years, a detail later confirmed by Accenture. TechCrunch reached out to Anthropic for additional information regarding the deal.
Accenture Anthropic Business Group Established
Central to the partnership is the establishment of the Accenture Anthropic Business Group. This new entity will facilitate formal training on Anthropic's Claude AI for 30,000 Accenture employees, alongside making Claude Code development tools accessible to tens of thousands of Accenture's developers. Additionally, a joint initiative will be launched to assist chief investment officers (CIOs) in effectively tracking the return on investment (ROI) from their AI implementations.
Anthropic's Growing Enterprise Market Share
This strategic alliance underscores Anthropic's rapidly expanding footprint in the enterprise AI market. A recent report from Menlo Ventures highlights Anthropic's significant growth, indicating it now commands 40% of the overall enterprise market share and an impressive 54% in the coding segment. This represents a notable increase from Menlo's earlier survey this summer, which placed Anthropic's enterprise market share at 32%.
Recent High-Profile Partnerships
The Accenture deal follows a series of high-profile partnerships for Anthropic. Last week, the company secured a $200 million agreement with cloud data firm Snowflake. Prior to that, in October, Anthropic announced significant AI collaborations with both Deloitte and IBM, further cementing its role as a key player in the generative AI landscape.
