Amazon Launches AI Tool "Enhance My Listing" for Sellers

Amazon has released a new generative AI tool called "Enhance My Listing" to help sellers improve their product listings. This tool automates the often tedious process of updating product information.

Enhance My Listing suggests product titles, attributes, descriptions, and other missing details based on seasonal trends. Sellers can review these suggestions and choose to accept, reject, or modify them before updating their listings in Amazon's catalog.

The tool leverages Amazon's own generative AI models through its Bedrock service. This allows it to analyze customer engagement data and provide optimized suggestions. Enhance My Listing is currently rolling out to select U.S. sellers, with wider availability planned soon.

Building on Existing AI Tools

This isn't Amazon's first foray into AI-powered seller tools. In 2023, Amazon launched a tool to help sellers write product descriptions. Later, they introduced a feature allowing sellers to create listings using a product URL or a single image.

Amazon reports that over 900,000 sellers have used its generative AI tools, with over 90% accepting the AI-generated content without edits.

Competition in the AI-Powered Marketing Space

Amazon joins other major companies like Google, eBay, Meta, and Shopify in offering AI-powered marketing tools. Startups such as Avataar and Superscale are also developing similar solutions for sellers.
