ChatGPT Enhances Business Features with Cloud Integrations and Meeting Summaries
OpenAI's ChatGPT is rolling out new features designed to boost business productivity. These include integrations with popular cloud services, meeting recording and transcription capabilities, and enhanced research connectors.
Seamless Cloud Integration
ChatGPT now integrates with Dropbox, Box, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Google Drive. This allows users to leverage their own data across these platforms to generate more insightful and context-rich responses. For example, analysts can use company presentations and documents directly within ChatGPT to develop investment theses.
OpenAI assures users that these integrations adhere to existing organizational access control hierarchies.
Meeting Recordings and Actionable Insights
Meeting recordings and transcriptions, a now-standard feature in productivity suites, are now available in ChatGPT. This feature generates time-stamped notes and suggests action items. Users can query their meeting notes just like they would with integrated documents and files.
Furthermore, users can convert action items into a Canvas document, OpenAI's dedicated tool for writing and coding projects. This functionality positions ChatGPT as a competitor to platforms like ClickUp, Zoom, and Notion, which offer similar transcription and meeting summarization features.
Deep Research Capabilities
ChatGPT is also introducing deep research connectors for HubSpot, Linear, and select Microsoft and Google tools, currently in beta. These connectors empower users to create detailed research reports using data from these sources, combined with web information.
Paid ChatGPT users have access to these connectors. Pro, Team, and Enterprise users also gain access to MCP (model context protocol) support, enabling connections to other tools for deep research.
Expanding Business Reach
These new features demonstrate OpenAI's commitment to making ChatGPT an indispensable tool for businesses. While other startups are developing AI-powered office tools, OpenAI's existing user base and established technology give it a significant advantage. The company reports three million enterprise subscribers, a substantial increase from the two million reported earlier this year.
