Google Delays "Ask Photos" AI Feature Rollout

Google has announced a two-week delay for the rollout of its innovative "Ask Photos" feature. Product Manager Jamie Aspinall shared the update on X, citing the need to improve latency, quality, and overall user experience.

While some users currently have access, a new version addressing these issues is expected in approximately two weeks. The "Ask Photos" feature, powered by Google's Gemini AI model, allows users to search their Google Photos libraries using natural language prompts.

Searching Photos with Natural Language

Announced at Google I/O 2024, "Ask Photos" leverages the power of Gemini AI to revolutionize photo searching. Instead of using keywords, users can ask natural language questions like "show me one great photo from each of my National Park visits."
