Google Find My Device Transforms into Find Hub

Google announced at the Android Show, held a week before Google I/O 2025, that its Find My Device feature is evolving into "Find Hub." This enhanced platform will offer expanded item tracking capabilities for Android users.

Expanded Partner Integrations and Satellite Tracking

Originally launched in 2013 as an Android alternative to Apple's Find My service, Find My Device expanded last year with a crowdsourced finding network. This network utilizes third-party Bluetooth trackers and tags from partners like Chipolo and Pebblebee. Find Hub builds upon this foundation with new partnerships and features.

Find Hub will integrate with luggage brands like July and Mokobara, enabling users to track their bags. Ski tracking will be possible through Peak integration, and Pixbee will offer family-focused Bluetooth tags. Later this month, ultra-wideband (UWB) technology will be utilized for precise location tracking with Motorola's moto tags. Satellite-based finding is planned for later in 2025.

Airline Partnerships for Luggage Tracking

Following Apple's announcement of airline partnerships for Find My, Google is also collaborating with airlines to help travelers track their luggage. Find Hub will work with Aer Lingus, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Iberia, and Singapore Airlines.

These new features and partnerships position Find Hub as a comprehensive solution for locating lost devices and belongings. The expansion promises improved peace of mind for Android users.
