IBM Acquires Seek AI, Launches Watsonx AI Labs in NYC
IBM has acquired Seek AI, a startup specializing in natural language data analysis, for an undisclosed amount. Simultaneously, IBM launched Watsonx AI Labs, a new AI accelerator based in New York City.
Seek AI's platform allows users to query enterprise data using natural language, translating questions into database queries and providing data analysis. This technology will be integrated into Watsonx AI Labs.

Watsonx AI Labs will serve as a collaborative hub for IBM researchers, engineers, and external partners to develop cutting-edge AI solutions for businesses. The accelerator will also foster collaborations with local universities and research institutions.
Seek AI CEO and founder Sarah Nagy stated the startup will scale its platform, deploy solutions for IBM clients, and expand its team. The company will relocate its headquarters to One Madison, the home of Watsonx AI Labs and IBM's new Manhattan offices.

Startups participating in the accelerator will gain access to IBM resources and potential investment from IBM Ventures and its $500 million enterprise AI fund.
