Samsung Explores Perplexity AI Integration in Smartphones
Samsung is reportedly in talks with AI search startup Perplexity AI for a potential investment and technology integration deal. According to Bloomberg, the Korean tech giant is considering incorporating Perplexity's AI technology into its mobile devices.
Potential Integration Details
The reported deal could involve pre-installing the Perplexity app and assistant on Samsung smartphones. Furthermore, Perplexity's search features might be integrated into Samsung's default mobile browser. Discussions also reportedly include leveraging Perplexity's AI to enhance Samsung's own voice assistant, Bixby.
This partnership could be announced later this year, though neither company has officially confirmed the details.
Wider Industry Interest in Perplexity AI
Samsung isn't the only company exploring Perplexity AI integration. Bloomberg previously reported that Apple considered adding Perplexity as a search engine option in Safari. Motorola also announced a partnership with Perplexity in April to power AI features on its devices.
Perplexity AI is currently raising funds at a substantial valuation, highlighting the growing interest in its AI-powered search technology.
