ChatGPT, the popular AI chatbot developed by OpenAI, is rolling out its own version of a year-end review, drawing inspiration from Spotify's widely acclaimed "Wrapped" feature. Dubbed "Your Year with ChatGPT," this new annual summary is now available to eligible users in select English-speaking markets, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand.
The personalized experience is designed to be "lightweight, privacy-forward, and user-controlled," according to OpenAI. It will be offered to users with free, Plus, and Pro plans who have enabled the "reference saved memories" and "reference chat history" options, and have met a minimum conversation activity threshold. Notably, Team, Enterprise, or Education accounts will not have access to this feature.
A Personalized Look at Your AI Interactions
Much like Spotify Wrapped, "Your Year with ChatGPT" uses engaging graphics and personalizes the experience for each individual. It awards users based on their unique interactions with the AI throughout the year. For example, a user who frequently employed the chatbot to brainstorm solutions or develop concepts might receive the "Creative Debugger" award.
Beyond awards, the feature also generates a personalized poem and an image reflecting your year's topics of interest. This creative output raises interesting questions for the future, especially as ChatGPT is set to embrace adult content in 2026.
Accessing Your ChatGPT Year-End Review
While the year-end summary will be promoted on the ChatGPT app's home screen, it will not be automatically opened or forced upon users. Users can choose to engage with it at their convenience. The feature is accessible on both the ChatGPT web application and its mobile apps for iOS and Android.
For those eager to dive into their AI journey, simply asking ChatGPT directly for "Your Year with ChatGPT" will also trigger the experience.
