Amazon Music has officially unveiled "2025 Delivered," its highly anticipated annual personalized listening summary, directly challenging popular year-end recaps like Spotify Wrapped. Launched on Tuesday, this new feature provides users with an in-depth look at their music consumption habits throughout the year, aiming to engage listeners with unique insights and shareable content.
With "2025 Delivered," Amazon Music users can explore a comprehensive recap of their listening trends. This includes their top artists, most-played songs, and preferred genres. Beyond music, the summary also incorporates statistics for audiobooks and podcasts, offering a holistic view of their audio journey.
Distinguishing itself from competitors, Amazon Music's year-end recap introduces several unique elements. For users with an Alexa-enabled device, the feature highlights the title of the song they most frequently requested Alexa to play during the year. Furthermore, Amazon Music has rolled out new badges designed to celebrate listener engagement:
- Trendsetter: Awarded to "early adopters" who discover trending albums.
- Headliner: Recognizes fans who rank in the top percentage of an artist's listeners.
Mirroring the social sharing success of its rivals, Amazon Music offers animated, shareable cards that showcase individual music statistics. These cards are designed with a vibrant "music festival" theme, personalized for each listener. For instance, a user named Katie might receive her own "Katie Fest" card, complete with a customized lineup featuring her top artists like Bad Bunny, Charli XCX, and Chappell Roan.
"2025 Delivered" is now accessible within the Amazon Music app across a wide range of countries, including the U.S., U.K., Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Japan, Mexico, Brazil, India, Canada, and Australia. To be eligible for their personalized recap, Amazon Music users simply need to have accumulated at least a few hours of listening history on the platform.
The launch of Amazon Music's "2025 Delivered" comes amidst a flurry of similar year-end features from other major streaming services. It follows the introduction of YouTube's 2025 Recaps and coincides with Apple Music's unveiling of its own annual summary. Just a day prior, Deezer also launched its "My Deezer Year 2025", complete with a music personality quiz, underscoring the growing trend of personalized year-end summaries in the competitive music streaming landscape.
