LinkedIn is currently rolling out its personalized 'Year in Review' summaries to all users, offering a vibrant and engaging overview of their professional activity on the platform throughout the past year. This new feature provides members with a fun breakdown of their engagement, helping them visualize their LinkedIn presence and growth.

Users can easily access their individual LinkedIn Year in Review by searching for "LinkedIn Year in Review" within the app or by tapping on an in-stream notification.

What Your LinkedIn Year in Review Includes

This personalized overview of your activity in the app throughout the year highlights various aspects of your annual engagement. It details the number of new connections made and followers gained, along with insights into where these connections work and how many have changed jobs. The summary also tracks your total count of posts and comments published, certifications and skills added, your platform join date, and even pinpoints the times of day you are most active on the app.

Engagement and AI-Powered Insights

Beyond individual metrics, the 'Year in Review' also identifies your key connections by showing who you engaged with most frequently. It may even remind you of your very first connection on the platform. Additionally, LinkedIn has introduced a 'character summary,' an AI-driven encapsulation of your professional persona based on your overall LinkedIn activity.

While primarily designed as a fun and engaging summary of platform engagement, the 'Year in Review' serves as a visual reinforcement of your efforts or a gentle nudge to enhance your activity in the coming year. Although it offers a handy overview of LinkedIn usage, it provides limited contextual insight or deeper analytical value. Some users might find more practical utility in features like a count of returning profile visitors or insights into popular LinkedIn Learning courses within their industry.

LinkedIn's 'Year in Review' summaries are currently available in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
