Amanda Scales has returned to xAI to work on talent acquisition, according to her LinkedIn profile. Scales previously held an HR role at xAI before joining Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) initiative. She also has experience in human resources and talent acquisition at Human Capital, a San Francisco-based VC firm, and Uber.

Musk Shifts Focus from DOGE to Companies

Scales' return coincides with reports that Musk plans to reduce his involvement with DOGE and dedicate more time to his companies, including Tesla. The New York Times reports that Musk has become less visible in Washington. He also recently informed Wall Street analysts of his intention to prioritize his businesses.

Tesla has faced challenges recently, with sales declining during Musk's increased focus on DOGE. Last month, a group of Tesla employees penned an open letter requesting Musk's removal as CEO.
