Microsoft Build 2025: Exploring AI and Cloud Innovation

Microsoft's flagship event, Microsoft Build 2025, takes place May 19-22 at the Seattle Convention Center. The event will also be streamed online for free.

Keynote and Deep Dive Sessions

CEO Satya Nadella and CTO Kevin Scott will deliver the keynote address on May 19 at 9:05 a.m. PT. A deep dive session with Charles Lamanna (CVP of Business and Industry Copilot) and Scott Guthrie (EVP of Cloud and AI) follows on May 20 at 9 a.m. PT.

Both presentations will be streamed live online. Watch the livestream here.

Focus on AI and Copilot

Microsoft Build 2025 is expected to heavily feature the company's AI-powered Copilot product family. Microsoft is rapidly integrating AI across its software and services, positioning it as a key revenue driver.

This focus on AI monetization is underscored by the recent inclusion of Copilot in Microsoft 365 Personal and Family plans. This bundling coincided with a 30% price increase.

Recent Copilot Developments

Microsoft has recently enhanced Copilot with several new features. These include "deep research" tools and the ability to browse the web and perform actions on behalf of users. Reports also suggest that Microsoft is accelerating its internal AI research and development. This effort aims to create its own AI models, potentially reducing its reliance on OpenAI.
