WisdomAI Raises $23M for Hallucination-Free AI Data Analytics

WisdomAI, a new data analytics startup founded by former Rubrik co-founder Soham Mazumdar, has secured $23 million in a seed round led by Coatue. The round also saw participation from Madrona, GTM Capital, The Anthology Fund, and others. The company offers AI-powered data analytics that delivers accurate business insights from both structured and unstructured data, even data containing errors.

Simplified Data Insights for Business Decisions

WisdomAI empowers business managers to directly access data insights by simply asking questions, eliminating the need for complex reporting processes. For example, a Chief Revenue Officer can quickly identify critical deals and understand potential roadblocks, streamlining decision-making and improving efficiency.

“You can get the CRO to see down to the last level of detail with five keystrokes, instead of a process involving five individuals and a lot of time,” Mazumdar told TechCrunch.

This approach contrasts with traditional methods that require multiple analysts and significant time investment. WisdomAI is already being used by diverse clients, including an oil and gas company leveraging the platform for field operations.

Combating Hallucinations in AI-Generated Insights

While many AI analytics tools rely on techniques like retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), WisdomAI takes a different approach to ensure accuracy. Instead of using generative AI for creating answers, WisdomAI utilizes it for query formation. This prevents the generation of fabricated answers, a common issue known as "hallucinations" in AI.

If WisdomAI's model generates a faulty query, it simply fails to retrieve data. The underlying data itself remains untouched, guaranteeing the accuracy of the insights delivered.

Early Adoption and Future Growth

WisdomAI boasts early customers such as ConocoPhillips, Cisco, and Descope. The platform is compatible with major cloud data storage services like Snowflake, Google’s BigQuery, Amazon’s Redshift, Databricks, and Postgres. According to Mazumdar, WisdomAI can integrate with any data storage system by learning its query language.

This significant funding will enable WisdomAI to further develop its platform and expand its reach, empowering more businesses with accurate and accessible data insights.
