Xbox Copilot Beta Launches on iOS and Android

Microsoft has released the beta version of its AI-powered gaming assistant, Xbox Copilot, for iOS and Android. The new feature integrates directly into the Xbox app, providing a convenient second-screen experience.

What can Xbox Copilot do?

Xbox Copilot offers a range of helpful features, including:

  • Answering questions about games you're interested in.
  • Providing links to relevant game information.
  • Answering questions based on your account, play history, achievements, and Gamerscore.
  • Offering personalized game recommendations.

Users can ask questions like "What's my Gamerscore and how can I improve it?", "I enjoy horror movies, what games do you suggest?", "What was my last achievement in Starfield?", or "When does my Game Pass subscription renew?".

“In this early version of the feature for mobile, you’ll be able to access Copilot for Gaming on a second screen, without distracting you from your core gameplay experience,” explained Taylor O’Malley, principal program manager at Xbox.

Copilot combines your Xbox player activity with public information from Bing to generate responses. Microsoft plans to enhance Copilot with more personalization and features like proactive coaching in the future.

Availability

The Xbox Copilot beta is currently available in English for users aged 18 and older in select countries, including the US, Canada, UK, Australia, and Japan. Microsoft plans to expand availability to additional regions later.
