Uno Launches Social Clubs to Boost Tabletop Gaming Trend

Mattel's Uno is tapping into the growing popularity of tabletop gaming with the launch of Uno Social Clubs across the U.S. These clubs aim to bring Uno fans together for in-person play and social interaction.

First Uno Social Club Opens in Las Vegas

The inaugural Uno Social Club will take place at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas from July 18-20. The suite will be decked out in Uno's signature red, green, yellow, and blue colors. Fans can enter to win a stay in the suite by posting a TikTok video using the Uno Reverse Card filter.

Pop-Up Events Planned Nationwide

Later this year, Uno will host pop-up social club events at bars and other venues nationwide. These events will feature Uno-themed drinks, photo opportunities, and tournament-style play.

Blending Digital and In-Person Engagement

The Uno Social Club initiative combines in-person experiences with digital engagement. The TikTok contest encourages social media participation using the #UNOSocialClub and #MattelContest hashtags. Mattel is also supporting the campaign with paid branded video and brand ambassadors.

Capitalizing on the Tabletop Gaming Boom

The tabletop gaming market is experiencing significant growth, projected to reach $34.1 billion by 2030. Uno Social Clubs aim to capitalize on this trend and the increasing desire for in-person connection, particularly among younger generations.

Uno's Continued Relevance

Uno remains a top-selling game globally, with approximately 60 decks sold every minute in 2023. The brand continually innovates with new game variations, like Uno Golf and Uno Teams, to maintain its popularity. These variations will be showcased in the Las Vegas suite.

The Uno Social Clubs initiative follows Mattel's Q1 2025 revenue report, which showed a 2.11% year-over-year increase to $826.6 million. During the earnings call, executives addressed Uno's production amid tariffs, outlining plans to direct China-produced games to international markets and increase production in India for the U.S. market.
